Bryant H. Dukes

Bryant H. Dukes, Executive Director of For My People Empowerment, Inc. was appointed at the age of 18 to the position because of his dedication and commitment of the goals of the organization. Bryant, now 21 years of age is the father of a beautiful daughter Zahir. He is a high school graduate and while at Peace & Diversity Academy he demonstrated academic excellence in Physics and was placed on the school Honor Roll.
Bryant has always been a very important part of the organization. When the attack on the World Trade Center happened it not only put fear in his heart, it also put a determination to make sure that we were safe and ready to handle all that was put before him and his family. At the age of 9 Bryant assisted his mother while she was a consultant working with a non-profit organization that provided finances and support to the September 11 victims.
He was the youngest volunteer working with the “All Together Now Program” that brought emergency preparedness awareness issues to neighborhoods in the New York area.
Bryant received a number of awards from Joseph Bruno, Commissioner of the New York City Office of Emergency Management and The Empowerment Institute for his contribution to the programs as he met with community based organizations and invited them to co-sponsor neighborhood information meetings and/or requested to speak at their existing meetings. Bryant received his Emergency Preparedness certification in 2006.
In 2007/2008 he served as a camp counselor with the National Association of Blessed Billionaires where he mentored young children and taught dance and assisted the music teacher.
Bryant joined the Minisink Spirit, Inc. program where he was able to enjoy the camping experience on the original Port Jervis, New York camp grounds where generations of his family had gone before him.
In 2008, Bryant became a member of The Order of the Feather Fraternity were young men of the nation are the bulwark of the future. This organization believed that the development of strong character and good moral judgment is essential in the type of bulwark this nation needs to march ever forward.
